Strikeforce held a successful night of fights at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas last night and honestly, it’s not complete until you watch King Mo opine on the state of MMA. So here are video highlights of the press conference from all the guys on the panel. Cookies […]
We are in Las Vegas at Strikeforce and fight week is almost over. Had weigh-ins today at the Hard Rock Hotel and here are the videos. MAIN CARD: And the prelim SHO EXTREME weigh-ins. EXTREME! Also, Esther’s photos are on the SHO Sports site here including her usual super awesome […]
What’s up dudes and dudettes?? We’re in the middle of Strikeforce fight week for Rockhold vs Jardine and I gotta say, I’m already beat. Today was insane-o but in the best way. We had a press conference midday flanked by studio work. While I was busy getting the portraits done for Strikeforce, Casey was clipping […]
Back in Vegas! We took a short break at home in Los Angeles to see the NYE American Nightmare reunion. Here’s a video of that show and can you spot us in this photo? Esther spent the entire show fucking shit up in the pit. She is the coolest. Now we are settled back into […]
It’s not a secret that we here at All Elbows are longtime fans of Mo Lawal, as we’ve done pretty much all his pre-fight hype videos since meeting him in Japan last year. But I have also worked with Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante since his days at EliteXC and I honestly couldn’t be prouder to see […]
Strikeforce: Houston is tomorrow night! We had weigh-ins today at the Toyota Center with lots of fans in attendance. Below are the weigh-in photos + Jorge “Macaco” Patino weighing in after the stage had been torn down. Casey’s here working for AOL and he made a video on fight week events, which is below the […]
I’m all settled in here in downtown Houston for Strikeforce fight week and more than thrilled for this Saturday’s card at the Toyota Center in my adopted hometown. The week started off with today’s media workout at the Metro Fight Club. In the afternoon, KJ Noons, Bobby Lashley, King Mo, and Tim Kennedy went to […]
Out here in Vegas covering UFC 114 for MMAFighting/AOL Fanhouse and having a blast. Tons of fans in town. Longest media workout EVER. But that means I had infinite opportunities to take the photos I wanted to take and so, I did. The crowd flowed in and out most of the six hours but there […]
I’ll tell you how my Saturday night went. I shot three great victories in Strikeforce and they were overshadowed by well, you know. Whatever about how you think the fights went — I saw three underdogs win, three lower ranked fighters beat the odds and beat their opponents in dominating fashion.
Fight week in Nashville. Here for Strikeforce and I’m super thrilled for Saturday’s stacked fight card. Three championship fights! It’s gonna be sweet.
Here’s my favorite shots of this week so far.
We present to you another All Elbows video, sandwiched between our travels to a land full of dudes also named Muhammed and back to Nashville for the Strikeforce on CBS megacard. King Mo is contending for the Strikeforce light heavyweight title against champion Gegard Mousasi this Saturday on CBS.
Completely forgot to share these. The day after Strikeforce: Nashville held the LA media workout, we continued the Showtime crew’s feature shoot for the broadcast with greenscreen on the CBS studio lot. Between setups, I shot new studio work of the fighters in the main events, and ridiculous number of photos of Aoki since I […]
Media workout photos plus a few stills from our production shoot. More to come.
MTV’s Rock N’ Jock countdown invaded AKA in San Jose for a few days during Strikeforce Challengers week and I hung around for some of the antics with Josh Thomson, Gilbert Melendez, staredown lessons with Mayhem and King Mo, and sparring with Miesha Tate. Though Dirty appeared to survive his fight with Takedown Tate, even […]
Continuing with our favorite images from 2009, I thought I’d put a break in the middle of the year to highlight the part of my job that I had the hardest time learning, since I didn’t come from a photography background. Studio. Working with Strikeforce has enabled me to spend time with many fighters on […]
This was a pretty eventful and adventure-filled year for us. It began with the two of us in Tokyo, jobless but credentialed at both Dynamite!! and Sengoku No Ran, bumping into “Mayhem” Miller in our budget hotel and ended most recently with us in San Jose, myself working for Strikeforce and Casey working for AOL […]
So you’ve probably already seen ’em on Showtime’s flickr because I am so incredibly slow to post. Hey, but if not, here are the photos from the entire night of Strikeforce: Evolution in a very long eighty-two photo slideshow from Showtime.
Photos from today’s Strikeforce: Evolution weigh-in at the San Jose Marriott.
We managed to squeeze in some time with Mo Lawal preparing for his fight with Mike Whitehead at Strikeforce: Evolution, December 19 on Showtime in San Jose at the HP Pavilion. Once again, we proudly present an All Elbows original video.
Gosh, it feels like forever since I’ve been at Strikeforce, having spent the last month on the road shootng UFC. But I’m back and have two galleries for y’all today. I spent the whole day at the Showtime feature shoot but took my lunch break to shoot Cung Le’s open workout at his USH gym […]
A couple of weeks ago, Casey and I got a chance to tag along as Mayhem and King Mo visited EA Sports’ studio in Orlando, Florida to meet the developers of EA MMA, demo the game so far, and record sound and visuals for gameplay. Here’s some photos from the day o’ fun. We’re proud […]
We’re working on fine tuning our video of Mayhem and King Mo’s visit to EA Tiburon studio to see the making of the EA MMA game. Until then, whet your appetites with photos I took while gawking at the birthplace of the Madden franchise and pretty much all the EA Sports titles. It was loads […]
We just returned from a week all over the country with a stop in Kansas City for M-1 Breakthrough: King Mo vs Mark Kerr. This is another one of our Fight Journal pieces, this time chronicling fight night, behind the scenes of the event with Mo Lawal.
