Here’s our second in the All Angles series, where we show you just a little bit of behind-the-scenes and some different perspectives on a fight — in this case, Michelle Waterson challenging Invicta champion, Jessica Penne. It was an emotional roller coaster even color correcting this piece because I had to watch it many times […]
Casey and I stayed an extra day in Las Vegas to document the first ever Ultimate Fighter tryouts for women. It was a momentous occasion we couldn’t miss and I was extremely happy for all the women and I wanted to meet everyone. Watch our video where we meet a few of the women who […]
Thirteen fights, lots and lots of photos — too many of Leslie Smith vs Sarah Kaufman of course — so I can’t even tell you anything yet, probably saving all my tidbits for a video or two. But honestly, I couldn’t really pare it down too much more without omitting some wild action so […]
Here’s just a few of my favorite studio photos from our session on Wednesday. I’ll try to post more as I edit them.
We spent a few days out in Albuquerque back in February with Michelle Waterson and a few days in March with the champ, Jessica Penne, to shoot this preview show for Invicta FC 5. It’s been a wild week of editing — pushed back by the amount of time we spent traveling for other shows […]
We went to Montreal — this time, somehow, it was colder but we had the same, wonderful experience as usual. Fight week was as entertaining as you’d expect. Here’s our FOCUS video from our week in Montreal for UFC 158.
Invicta FC 4 went down on January 5. Now we have a highlight of sorts for you. If you follow us on twitter and have come to the site a lot, you’ll know we’re fans of what I like to refer to as, pushy-shovey music. This is a track Casey’s been dying to use […]
Here’s a ridiculously long gallery of Invicta FC 4. I mean — there’s not really a way to post less from a thirteen fight card. We’ll be in Kansas City again on April 5th, so make sure to tune in at InvictaFC.com
We’re in Oklahoma City for the last ever Strikeforce. I’m sad to see it go. I’ve been with Strikeforce for almost four years (though honestly it seems longer). Casey did a Fight Journal with Daniel Cormier chronicling a day here in Oklahoma City as he preps for his fight against Dion Staring. Enjoy!
We put a video together of my favorite shots from 2012. Thanks for watching, hope you all have a brilliant and lovely 2013. .
We did portraits with every fighter on the Invicta 4 card, here are a few of my favorites!
We went to Seattle for UFC on FOX 5: Benson Henderson vs Nate Diaz, and took a bunch of photos, and ate a lot of pizza. Here’s our Focus video from the week. We’ll catch up with you all again from Las Vegas.
It’s Thanksgiving weekend here in the States and we’ve just returned home from Montreal, Canada. There’s so much to be thankful for as an MMA fan. UFC 154 culminated in raw energy and emotion colliding before the seventeen thousand fans at the Bell Center. I’m grateful for fighters fighting with their hearts out, for letting […]
Last night, there was some fantastic action at the Staples Center in the Showtime Championship Boxing ring but I spent most of my time backstage, watching fighters as they prepared mentally for their impending battles. I also edited Tom Casino’s wonderfully visceral action shots and we put together a gallery for you at SHO Sports. […]
We’re extremely excited to present to you, our behind-the-scenes feature on the inaugural World Series of Fighting. MMAFighting.com sent us to Las Vegas last weekend to glimpse how a new fight promotion comes together and we hope you enjoy watching what we’ve come up with as much as we enjoyed creating this.
We’re in Vegas for a doubleheader weekend with WSOF and RFA. Tonight at WSOF, I’ll be reprising my role as videographer, but last night we went to RFA and I shot a few photos while Casey did photo editing. Here’s a few selections from our larger MMAFighting.com gallery. Make sure you go to MMAFighting.com to […]
There’s nothing like seeing Converge live. I feel so alive. The fervor in the pit isn’t anger, it’s intense mutual love. A camaraderie among strangers, even onstage where I stood — guys in the opening bands air drummed along to the songs and stage dove along with the crowd. I haven’t shot live music since I don’t […]
We went to Rio de Janeiro to cover UFC 153 and we put together this little video of my favorite photos from the week.
Had the fantastic opportunity to shoot the first boxing event at the brand new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Here’s a few of my favorite shots from that night but head to the full gallery on Sports.Sho.com for the full gallery including all of Tom Casino’s great action shots. Peter Quillin vs Hassan N’Dam stole […]
Past fashionably late, I’m battling some cold and heat exhaustion combo, and my insomnia is kicking me into some action. I wanted to share with you some of the studio work we did last week at Invicta FC 3 and a video Casey shot so you could meet a few of the fighters on the […]
Finally! We’ve been sitting on this video for a while, waiting for the MMAFighting.com release. Back in April, Casey and I went to Kansas City and shot Invicta Fighting Championships from all angles. I took photography of the event, but I also did video portraits of every fighter. Casey shot video on fight night and […]
We enlisted the help of Bimb0_Slice, aka Meleth Gonzales, to interview fighters at the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix finals. We’re pretty amazed she agreed to do it since Meleth flew in from Turkey that same day and was basically running on fumes and media room coffee. Esther was busy being crazy as the Strikeforce photographer […]
We’re here in San Jose covering the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix final and Melendez vs Thomson III. Check out the video highlights of today’s press conference and you can see the photos on the Showtime website here. Tune in on Saturday night to see who finishes this crazy tournament and watch tons of really great […]
