Strikeforce Houston Media Workout

I’m all settled in here in downtown Houston for Strikeforce fight week and more than thrilled for this Saturday’s card at the Toyota Center in my adopted hometown.  The week started off with today’s media workout at the Metro Fight Club.  In the afternoon, KJ Noons, Bobby Lashley, King Mo, and Tim Kennedy went to the VA Hospital’s Fisher House to visit patients in the spinal cord injury ward.

While visiting the physical therapy center, a paraplegic volunteer came by to say hello and tell us how quad rugby helped him cope and recover, keeping him active and putting competition back in his life.

Overall, the day was warm with the weather and the lovely experience.  It was really nice to see Tim Kennedy talk with all the vets, sharing stories of their service.

I hope you like the photos.  The first one is foggy, courtesy of Houston’s heavy humidity, steaming up the interior of my camera every time I transitioned between indoors and out.

Just a note, it’s Fisher House not Fischer House.

Otherwise, it’s nice to see the photos after going to the event in person.

    • Thanks for the correction! I’ll fix that. I’m so annoyed because I put Fisher House, but then all my schedules and correspondence from the PR & staff said Fischer.

No problemo, that sucks, I know as a reporter sometimes we depend on spokespeople for a lot of info.nnBtw, any plans to get more sizes of the shirt in the regular grey? I was considering getting one.
