The idea of fighter’s fashion is so different in Japan than it is here. Take for instance, Caol Uno’s 2009 Fall/Winter UCS (Uno Caol Showten) line, which features wool blazers and plaid vests.
And long johns!
I think Kid Yamamoto has fashion lines out too. It’s amazing to see that fighters aren’t just sponsored in Japan, they have their own, real fashion lines, not just some t-shirt covered in royalty-free vectors nonsense.
Even the 10AC 2009 Spring/Summer line (currently available in Japan) is refreshingly different with its baby teal stripes and spring flair.
The UCS Fall/Winter line isn’t available just yet but the preview is up at Hypebeast.
Our previous post on Caol Uno’s Kinnikuman collaboration is here.
